Dhanbad: The Congress State Disciplinary Committee today issued show-cause notices to 19 leaders from four districts for engaging in indiscipline within the party organisation.
The Chairman of the Jharkhand Congress Disciplinary Committee, Brajendra Prasad Singh, held a meeting with Coordinator Amulya Neeraj Khalko and Committee member Anadi Brahma. During the meeting, show-cause notices were issued to leaders from the districts of Palamu, Dhanbad, Latehar and Lohardagga.
Among the prominent leaders who received the notices are Pappu Paswan, Salam Ansari (Latehar), Imtiyaz Ali (Dhanbad Jharia block president), Nisar Ahmed, Salim Ansari, Mujammil Ansari (Lohardagga) and Laxminarayan Tiwari (Palamu district).
“Indiscipline will not be tolerated at any cost. Those who indulge in indiscipline and are found guilty will face action from the party,” said Chairman Brajendra Prasad Singh after the meeting.
The Chairman explained that an urgent meeting of the Disciplinary Committee was convened at the state headquarters, following complaints lodged against these leaders. The Committee reviewed the matter and subsequently issued the show-cause notices.
Internal sources within the Congress party revealed that these leaders were found to have worked against the official party candidates during the assembly elections.
