Ranchi, August 10: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren did not celebrate his 50th birthday on Sunday as this year he is spending in deep mourning for his father Shibu Soren.
On August 4, his father and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) founder Dishom Guru Shibu Soren passed away. For this reason, Hemant Soren decided not to celebrate his birthday. At present, the family is busy in Shraddha Karma and the Chief Minister is working with the resolve to carry forward the political-social legacy of his father.
On Hemant Soren’s birthday, many politicians including PM Narendra Modi have congratulated and wished him on his birthday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while congratulating him on his birthday, wrote on X, that I wish Hemant Soren a long life and good health.
Babulal Marandi, the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Jharkhand and the leader of the opposition, also congratulated Chief Minister Hemant Soren on his birthday.
Marandi also wrote on the message that I pray to Baba Baidyanath for your good health and long life.
Hemant Soren was born on 10 August 1975 in Nemra village of Ramgarh district. In his childhood, he was a brilliant student and dreamed of becoming an engineer. He took admission in Birla Institute of Technology (BIT, Mesra), but family responsibilities and rapidly changing political circumstances changed his path. He left his studies and entered active politics with his elder brother Durga Soren and took up the responsibility of strengthening the JMM.
