Jharkhand CM meets newly elected Prez in Delhi

Ranchi, July 24: Chief Minister Hemant Soren met the newly elected President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi on Sunday.

Hemant Soren congratulated him on being elected President and appreciated the work done by him in Jharkhand.

In a tweet shared by chief minister on Sunday afternoon, Hemant Soren urged Droupadi Murmu to keep her affection on Jharkhand as before.

Incidentally, Hemant Soren had gone to Delhi on Saturday in connection with the launch of the state’s tourism policy.

After the NDA’s nomination of Droupadi Murmu as its candidate, the ruling party JMM had made a meeting and made a strategy.  JMM central president Shibu Soren was authorized to take the decision. After announcing support for Hemant Soren, 30 JMM MLAs and three MPs voted in support of Murmu.

CM Hemant Soren (CM Hemant Soren News) has had a good relationship with Draupadi Murmu in the past. Draupadi Murmu was the governor of Jharkhand for about six years. During this, he met them on many issues. Mrs. Murmu will take the oath of office on Monday. It will also include Mr. Soren. Shri Murmu has a special attachment to Jharkhand. He has also said that he has a blood relation with Jharkhand.

Droupadi Murmu had earlier this month met chief minister Hemant Soren and JMM president and Rajya Sabha Shibu Soren in Ranchi and sought support and was given a red carpet welcome by the JMM leaders.

Hopes and aspirations are running high among tribals of Jharkhand as they look up to Droupadi Murmu, who is set to take oath as India’s first tribal President on Monday, to pave the way for their ‘sengel’ (empowerment) after “centuries of neglect”. They are also optimistic that Murmu, a former governor of the state, would take steps to fructify a long-standing demand by tribals that the Centre recognise their religion as ‘Sarna’ and ensure enumeration under this category in the next census.
