Jamshedpur, July 24: Representatives of Jharkhand Nagar Nikay Samanvay Sangarsh Samity (Jharkhand Municipal Corporation Coordination Sangharsh Samit) today discussed the holding tax issue in detail with Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy.
The representatives shared pain of the people of their area due to increase in holding tax and burden on the general public under the new Act implemented from 29 April 2022. They claimed that the Jharkhand government directly increased the holding tax without any survey.
The angry people have not yet deposited the tax regardless of the fine and are trying to convey their point of view to the government through their representatives. Saryu Roy assured to raise questions on this issue in the Vidhan Sabha monsoon session
The delegation had representatives from Jamshepdur, Mango and Jugsalai civic bodies.
