Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accompanied by his wife and MLA Kalpana Soren, visited the Kalighat Shaktipeeth temple (Kalighat Kali Mandir) in Kolkata on Thursday. The visit followed his participation in a business summit organized to attract investors to Bengal. At the temple, CM Soren prayed for the progress, happiness, prosperity, peace and well-being of Jharkhand.
The couple offered a sari to the deity and received blessings after completing the worship. Soren stayed in the temple for about half an hour before returning to Ranchi. His trip to Kolkata also included announcements aimed at bringing in investment, with prominent industrialists like Mukesh Ambani in attendance at the summit.
