Jamshedpur: A delegation from Janata Dal (United), led by senior leader Subodh Srivastava, met with the Senior Superintendent of Police in Jamshedpur to submit a memorandum calling for immediate action to curb the rising crime rate in the city. The JDU leaders expressed grave concern over the increasing frequency of theft, robbery, murder and other serious crimes that have plagued Jamshedpur in recent months.

“Jamshedpur has seen a disturbing rise in criminal incidents, especially thefts targeting closed flats in residential societies,” Srivastava said. He highlighted the growing drug addiction problem, the flourishing illicit drug business and the increasing influence of mafia gangs as contributing factors to the spike in crime. The JDU leaders urged the district administration to implement concrete measures to address these issues and restore law and order in the city, calling for an urgent crackdown on criminal activities that are making residents feel unsafe.
