CM launches public suggestion portal for annual budget
Ranchi, January 5: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren today launched the Abua Budget Portal and Mobile App to gather suggestions, opinions, and ideas from the public for the formulation of the 2025-26 state budget.

This was the third such effort by Hemant Soren to take public suggestion and opinion for the annual budget. He had started the Hamar Apan budget in 2022-2023 and Hamin Kar budget in 2023-24 budget.
“This is the Abua (Our) government. In this context, our government is focused on creating a balanced budget that prioritizes the welfare and interests of the people while ensuring sustainable, inclusive, and all-round development of the state. Your suggestions, opinions, and ideas for the financial year 2025-26 are important to us. The best suggestions will be incorporated into the budget to ensure a better outcome for all,” he said.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the upcoming budget should ensure balanced development across all sectors. He particularly stressed the importance of addressing the economy in rural areas, which forms the backbone of the state. He also pointed out the need for provisions to strengthen revenue collection, as this will help implement development and welfare schemes more effectively. He added that the budget must account for the needs of all sections of society.
The objective of the Abua Budget portal and mobile app is to gather inputs from experts as well as common people for the 2025-26 budget. The suggestions received will be carefully analyzed to explore their inclusion in the budget, ensuring the state and its people benefit from these ideas. Furthermore, the three individuals providing the best suggestions will be honoured by the state government. The last date for submitting suggestions is January 17,” Soren said.

The launch event was attended by several dignitaries, including finance minister Radha Krishna Kishore, Urban Development Minister Sudivya Kumar, Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Avinash Kumar among others.

The suggestions will be screened by a committee and discussed during the pre-budget consultations held by the finance department prior to formulation of the budget.
