Jharkhand Cabinet nod of Rs 2.37 Cr to Natl Geographic for documentaries on state

Winter session of assembly from December 16, Green card holders to get benefit of Ayushman scheme 

Ranchi, Nov 25: State cabinet approved Rs 2.37 crore for National Geographic to produce documentaries on different themes of Jharkhand.

The themes include wildlife, adventure, people and culture besides pristine Jharkhand.

State cabinet co-ordination secretary Vandana Dadel informed this after the cabinet meeting, stating the purpose behind the production of documentaries to establish Jharkhand on the global map.

Other approvals given in the meeting include the winter session of the state assembly from December 16 to 22, the appointment of Pankaj Kumar as deputy collector in the wake of supreme court order given on August 19, 2021, the extension of the textile policy till September 18, 20221 and extension of services of the companies appointed to run POS machines used for public distribution system for one year.

Other approvals include the constitution of a committee to select banks for opening accounts in banks for government work purposes, coverage of green ration cardholder under Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojna besides service rules of several departments including health, family welfare and education department, consumer, food and civil supply department, women, child welfare and social security department, home department (FSL), in accordance with the rule of personnel department notified on August 8, 2021.

The winter session of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly has been called from December 16 to December 22. The seven day session will have five working days. On December 16, certified copies of the ordinances promulgated by the Governor will be laid on the table of the Legislative Assembly. There will also be a condolence motion. In this 13 proposals were approved. It was said that a committee would be formed to decide the criteria for selection of banks for keeping money in government accounts in banks.

For the service support of the e-POS machines of PDS shops, the company was taken service for a period of two years for an extension of five years, which has been completed. The cabinet approved the proposal to extend it for two more years.

The proposal to cover green card holders from the benefits of Ayushman Bharat, Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana has been approved by the Council of Ministers.

A big decision has been taken in the cabinet meeting of Hemant Soren government on Thursday regarding Jharkhand Taxtile, Apparel & Footwear Policy-2016 implemented in the state. According to the decision, the policy of 2016 will be applicable in place of the earlier policy till the new policy is notified or till September 18 next year, whichever is the earlier period. Apart from this, an account will be opened to deposit government money in banks, for this a committee will also be formed. The committee will work to prepare a criteria for the selection of banks. The chairman of the committee will be the secretary or special secretary of the finance department.

In the cabinet meeting, approval was given to select banks to keep government money in the government accounts of banks. Approval was given for partial amendment in Jharkhand State Supply Service Rules, 2021, Jharkhand Child Development Services Non-Gazetted Employees Recruitment and Conditions of Service Rules, 2006. Similarly, Jharkhand Child Development Non-Gazetted Employees (Women Supervisory) Service Cadre (Recruitment, Promotion and Condition of Service) (Amendment) Rules-2021 were approved.

In the process of computerization of public distribution system, the work of distribution of food grains through e-PoS is done in all the shops. The supply of e-PoS machines is being done by M/s Linkwell Telesystems Pvt Ltd and M/s Integra Microsoft Pvt Ltd. Approval was given from both the companies to extend the period of taking service of e-PoS machines for the next 3 years.

Green ration card holders in the state will now get the benefit of “Ayushman Bharat – Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana” and Jharkhand State Food Security Scheme. This will be for the period of financial year 2021-2024. Post-facto approval was given to cover green card holders under the said scheme.
