Jamshedpur/Dhalbhumgarh, Nov 25. About 300 women and minor labourers of East Singhbhum district working in Foot Park Company located in Kotapatnam in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh reached Dhalbhumgarh station on Thursday morning.
On reaching Dhalbhumgarh station, Jharkhand Mahila Morcha President Banvasi Soren and JMM Block Secretary Baidyanath Soren met the labourers and took them to the forest rest house of Dhalbhumgarh.
The labourers had called and requested Ghatshila MLA Ramdas Soren for help.
The workers said that under the pressure of the company management, all the workers of East Singhbhum district working by the management were retrenched after the statement of the rape victim was changed. Walked more than 50 kms to reach Kotapatratnam railway station. The local SP and CPI leaders helped and boarded the express train and sent it to Kharagpur. Have come in contact with JMM leaders from Kharagpur till Dhalbhumgarh.
It is known that a minor (14 years) of Dhalbhumgarh block, who went to work in Andhra Pradesh, was made a victim of lust by a supervisor of the company itself. Angry labourers had created a ruckus on Monday evening, demanding the arrest of the accused. The incident happened on Sunday. The name of the accused youth is being told as Venu. After this incident, the workers here were being threatened by the local people of the company.
According to the information received, the minor girl went to Andhra Pradesh to work with her friends at Nekanti Mega Food Park Limited in Nailur Mutkur, Andhra Pradesh. A youth named Venu, the supervisor of the company, misbehaved with the minor. The laborers friends of the victim minor have informed the relatives about the incident. The women employees live in the quarters of the company which is inside the boundary wall.
In this regard, Transport Minister Champai Soren, while talking to our representative, said that after meeting Baidnath Soren, giving necessary instructions to the administrative officer, it has been said that arrangements should be made to send everyone to their homes at government expense. . Also, keep the list of labourers and the list of minor labourers separately.
