Ranchi, April 14: Incumbent BJP MP from Godda, Nishikant Dubey, after receiving the notice from the police station, has questioned whether being born in Hindu religion is a crime.
Incidentally, an FIR has been registered against Nishikant Dubey. The FIR has been registered at Manoharpur police station. In this, he has been summoned for questioning on April 19. According to the notice issued by the investigator of the case, there is a provision for a minimum punishment of 7 years for the outgoing MP.
According to the issued notice, the FIR has been lodged by Mohammed Aftab, resident of Mohanpur, District Deoghar. In this the outgoing MP has been made the primary accused.
The outgoing MP has given his reaction in this matter on social media said, “I am a Sanatani. Protection of mother cow is a part of my religion. The opposition loves a particular religion and hates Hindus. If I save mother cow, will the state government harass me? Have I committed a crime by being born in the Hindu religion?”
He further said, “Jharkhand government has a rule that you can take a cow only to a state where cow slaughter is banned. However, the cow was being taken to Bangladesh. But the FIR states that it was taken to Bihar where cow slaughter is not banned.”
Nishikant has also accused Jharkhand government in this matter. It is said that with the help of the government and especially the police administration, crores of cows are sent to Bangladesh through Santhal Pargana.
“I have consistently opposed it. But for the first time, Jharkhand government filed a case against me in Mohanpur police station. Jharkhand High Court has stayed the case. In the Privileges Committee of the Lok Sabha, the Superintendent of Police of Deoghar said that a case cannot be made against the MP. To mentally harass and insult me, they have called me for questioning on 19th April at Mohanpur police station. I will be present before the police on this date.”
