Jamshedpur, April 14: April 2024 edition of Johar Haat, a Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) initiative kicks off today.
This cycle of Johar Haat is themed on the festival of “Sarhul”. The festival denotes different colours of “Spring Season” in our life and reflects the close connection of human being with nature.
Keeping this feel and touch this time, the Haat consists of art, craft, cuisine and colours comprising of new entrepreneurs with their creative products. Evenings will be accompanied by ‘Samuday Ke Sath’ movie screening.
The edition witnesses presence of three states namely Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Odisha representing 6 tribes- Kharwar, Bhatudi, Oraon, Ho, Pradhan Gond and Santhal- comprising total 21 participants.
During this cycle, workshops on Sabai Grass Products making, session on terracotta jewelry making will be organised. Tribal Cuisine in this month will serve the delicacies served during “Sarhul” festival.
