Jamshedpur: Jharkhand athletes delivered an impressive performance at the 46th National Masters Athletics Championship being held in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, from January 28 to February 1, 2026.
On the opening day of the championship, Rasik Chandra Hessa brought pride to the state by winning the gold medal in the 800-metre race in the 30-plus age category. He continued his strong performance by securing another gold medal in the 1,500-metre race.
In the same event, Avtar Singh also performed well, winning a silver medal in the javelin throw and a bronze medal in the shot put.
The achievements of the athletes were widely appreciated, and they were congratulated for their dedication and hard work. Their success has brought honour to Jharkhand in the national-level competition.
