Jharkhand agitators and dependents granted Rs 4.41 crore in pension by Home Department

Ranchi: The Home Jail and Disaster Management Department have approved a total pension amount of Rs 4.41 crore for the financial year 2023-24 to support agitators and their dependents who were involved in the campaign for the formation of the separate state of Jharkhand. The Home Secretary has issued orders to the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of all 23 districts in this regard, outlining the distribution of funds among the respective districts.
Here is a breakdown of the allocated amounts for each district:
Bokaro: Rs 22.81 lakh
Chaibasa: Rs 6.82 lakh
Chatra: Rs 10.84 lakh
Deoghar: Rs 7.70 lakh
Dhanbad: Rs 32.71 lakh
Dumka: Rs 50.98 lakh
Giridih: Rs 31.71 lakh
Godda: Rs 15 lakhs
Gumla: Rs 7.92 lakh
Hazaribagh: Rs 40.10 lakh
Jamshedpur: Rs 67.35 lakh
Jamtara: Rs 11 lakh
This allocation is aimed at providing financial support to those who played a significant role in the struggle for the creation of the state of Jharkhand.
