Ranchi/Dhanbad: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team has initiated raids in Dhanbad since Thursday morning as part of an ongoing investigation into the Bihar sand scam. One of the premises targeted in these raids belongs to Surendra Jindal in Sindri, Dhanbad. Additionally, simultaneous raids are being carried out at the locations associated with sand trader Mithilesh Singh of Bihar and others.
Previously, on June 5, the ED had conducted similar raids in Dhanbad and Hazaribagh in Jharkhand. During these operations, the ED team searched the residences of key figures in the sand and liquor business, including Jagnarayan Singh, also known as Jagan Singh, located at Polytechnic Road in Dhanbad, Ashok Jindal of Dhaiya Chanchani Colony, and Surendra Jindal of Sindri. In the ongoing investigation, Jagnarayan Singh and his son remain in detention.
