Ranchi, April 15: Jharkhand ranked ninth under Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission.
Chief minister Champai Soren has congratulated the people of Jharkhand for this achievement.
The CM has also tweeted in this regard and said, “Congratulations, Jharkhand! The schemes of our government which are bringing changes in the standard of living of the tribals, indigenous people and common people living in the rural areas of Jharkhand and the changes being brought about by them, are being appreciated by the Central Government. Has been appreciated.
“Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission”, running under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, has ranked Jharkhand ninth in the entire country on various parameters of rural development, with the cooperation of all of you, serving the common people of Jharkhand. And our campaign to bring positive change in their lives will continue.”
Incidentally, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission (SPMRM) was launched in 2016. Syama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission aims to develop 300 Rurban clusters and bridge the rural-urban divide. The clusters will provide holistic economic, social and physical infrastructure. Rurban (rural-urban) areas refer to a cluster of 15-20 villages with a population of approximately 30 to 40 lakhs. Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) is the nodal ministry for SPMRM.
