3 dead, several injured as van collides with divider, tractor in Ranchi

Ranchi, April 15: Two women and a girl died in a road accident on Monday morning in Ratu police station area of Ranchi. Eight other people were injured in this accident.

The condition of two of these women is said to be critical.

According to the information received from the police, on the occasion of Chaiti Chhath, some devotees were going in a pickup van to offer Arghya near Ratu Talab. Meanwhile, the driver’s vehicle collided with the divider and the devotees traveling in the pickup van fell on the other side of the road. Meanwhile, a tractor passing by crushed three devotees. Due to which all three died. The family of the driver driving the pickup van was traveling in the car.

It has been told that the people traveling on the pickup van were residents of Chatakpur village of Ratu and were going to the pond to offer Arghya to the rising sun under Chaiti Chhath. Meanwhile, an accident took place near Shiva temple in Kathitand. There was an outcry after this accident. Local people sent the injured to the hospital.
