Jhargram, Jan 1: Like migratory birds adding to the colours of winter, the arrival of New Year attracts tourists converting the Jhargram skyline into an ensemble of paint brush like strokes of unbounded joy in a paradise that gives the place a resemblance to Tom Hardy’s ‘Far from the Madding Crowd’ if only for the title of the author’s critically acclaimed novel.

Locals said that winter was the best season to visit Jhargram. Hotels, lodges and short PG accommodations are available to make Jhargram district a favourite spot for tourists and tourism. Moreover, Jhargram is easily accessible by road and rail. Among some major tourist attractions in and around Jhargram include Chilkigarh Kanak Durga Temple, Jhargram Raj Mahal, Jangal Mahal Zoological Park, Savitri Mandir, Eco Tourism Center and Tribal Museum, Krishi Garden, Kendua Bird View Point, Kodapal Agro Tourism Park, Kolabani Medicinal Plants Garden, Rameshwar Temple among several other spots that will keep their arms open in invitation to return time and again and seep in the soothing delights of a rendezvous with nature.
