Jamshedpur: The Janata Dal (United) Ulidih Police Station Committee held a key meeting on Sunday at Prithvi Park under the chairmanship of Committee President Praveen Singh. The discussions centered on pressing civic concerns such as the drinking water crisis, drainage cleaning, garbage management, streetlight repairs, bleaching powder spraying and anti-larvae drives. Leaders expressed dissatisfaction over the poor civic services despite a recent meeting held in the presence of MLA Saryu Roy, where JD(U) leaders had strongly criticized Mango Municipal Corporation and even announced a protest plan. “Even after raising these issues, the cleaning of drains and door-to-door garbage collection remain unsatisfactory. Electricity problems are also unresolved, with dangling live wires posing a danger to the public,” said party members. They added that in many areas wires are dangerously supported by bamboo poles, creating risks of major accidents. The leaders stressed that JD(U) workers are constantly engaging with residents to assess problems firsthand. They warned that if the municipal corporation continues to neglect civic duties or leaves work unfinished, the party will once again take to the streets. Present at the meeting were JD(U) district secretary Vikas Sahni, Sanjay Singh, Manoj Gupta, Manoj Ojha, Manoj Rai, Abhijeet Senapati, Vijay Kumar Barman, Vijendra Singh, Ritu, Pratibha Singh, Parvinder Singh, Avdhesh Baba, Yogendra Kumar Sahu, Rahul Tiwari and Neeraj Singh
