Jadugoda, March 16: Jayanti Kumari alias Piyu was crowned Miss Great India – 2021 in the finals organized at New Delhi’s Arya Auditorium in an event organized by Lucky Kashyap Natrajan Arts on the diamond jubilee of beauty pageant contest on February 28.
Jayanti is the daughter of CISF SI Rajesh Kumar posted in Jadugoda near Jamshedpur. Speaking to the media Piyu informed that participants from Lucknow, Kanpur, Bihar, North East, Delhi and other places contested for the top honour. Prior to the Miss Great India Crown Jayanti had been recipient of many other modeling awards. She observed, “The community should support girls to attain career heights instead of criticizing every move of theirs.”
Sharing a glimpse of her pains, Piyu said, “My short dresses attracted askance looks and backbiting. Initially I felt deterred but then, I did not pay attention. After all it was a creative pursuit and I wanted to be on the top echelons of modeling and that is where I am going to be.”
The pride of Jadugoda attributes all her success in her career pursuit to her parents. Jayanti Kumari wants to make choreography and modeling her career. Well, with supportive parents, talent and achievements in her sphere, she is already on her way.
