Jamshedpur, March 16: Founder of Bharatiya Yugvisisht Brahmanand Sangh, Guruji Brahmanand Sashtri’s wife, Guru Mata Purnima Devi passed away on Monday while undergoing treatment at Brahmanand Hospital.
She was 88 years old. The news of her death put her disciples went into a state of mourning. Hear mortal remains was carried in a procession to the Bhuinyadih crematorium where the last rites were performed amidst vedic shlokas.
Earlier, Guru Mata Purnima Devi’s funeral procession was taken out from Beldih Kali Bari. Devotees and family members bid a teary adieu to her.
A sea of humanity comprising devotees, admirers and family members marked the funeral procession from the Beldih Kali Bari to the Bhuinyadih crematorium.
People sobbed inconsolably at the passing away of a religious pillar of kindness, love and compassion.
