JAP-6 soldier Alok Kumar dies after accidental fall at Jamshedpur home

Jamshedpur, Sept 18: Tragedy struck the JAP-6 unit in Jamshedpur on Wednesday night when 37-year-old Alok Kumar, a soldier with the Jharkhand Armed Police, died in a sudden accident at his residence near CP Club in Sonari.

According to reports, Alok was descending the stairs at around 8:45 p.m. when he lost balance and fell heavily. Family members said he had been pulling down a cloth from the ceiling when a rope caught around his neck, causing him to trip. The fall inflicted severe head injuries and damage to multiple parts of his body.

He was immediately rushed to Tata Main Hospital (TMH), but doctors declared him dead upon arrival. Family members described Alok as healthy and active, noting that the mishap was completely unexpected and shocking.

On Thursday, officials from the JAP Association arrived at TMH, offering condolences to his grieving family and assuring them of full support. Fellow soldiers remembered him as an honest, friendly and committed officer. The association described his untimely demise as an irreparable loss, promising to extend every possible assistance to his loved ones.

Alok Kumar’s sudden passing has left both his family and colleagues devastated, marking a moment of deep sorrow for the JAP-6 fraternity.
