Jansankhya Niyantran Foundation of Seraikela stresses on population control laws

Seraikela, Jan 29: Jansankhya Niyantran Foundation unit of Seraikela-Kharswan held its first district level meeting at Circuit House in Seraikela.

Addressing the meeting, state women wing president of the foundation, Suchita Singh said that increasing population was one of the serious problem facing the country which is increasing daily at the rate of 70,000 and if this is not controlled then by 2025 India would surpass China as the country with largest population leading to crisis of house and food grains.

“There would also be problem in jobs and in order to make the country self-reliant there is a need to bring steps to make Population Control laws to restrict two children for each family and if there is third child then the family would have to surrender all government benefits. There should also be a penalty and jail provision for giving birth to more than three children.

The foundation would be starting awareness session on population control across the district.

It was also decided to increase membership of the organisation woman’s wing  so that awareness on population control reaches every house in the district.
