Jamshedpur, December 9: Human Rights Day was celebrated on Saturday at Karim City College, Sakchi.
Chief guest was Ravindra Bharti, registrar of Kolhan University.
As soon as Ravindra Bharti went on the stage to speak, the students started raising slogans against him and stopped him from speaking.
Dashish Jha who claimed to be a student raised slogans and threw papers in the middle of the meeting. He said that due to the delay in the examination, the future of all the students is in darkness and due to the late session, they are unable to enroll in any other college for higher education.
He also alleged that he had gone to Kolhan University, Chaibasa with his demands, but his views were not heard there and the application form was not accepted due to which the students were angry.
Students allege that the New Education Policy is not implemented properly in Kolhan University. The syllabus has been changed twice and only one semester examination has been conducted in 15 months, in response to which Ravindra Bharti said that he will conduct the examination as soon as possible.
