Jamshedpur: Fire in shop, Rs 5 lakh goods gutted

Jamshedpur, December 9. A sudden fire broke out in a grocery shop located in Azadnagar Garib Nawaz Colony, Mango in the early hours of Saturday.

 Seeing smoke coming out from inside the shop, the local people called the shop owner Shahnawaz Alam and informed him about it. As the  shutter of the shop was opened they found that there was a fire inside the shop and fire department was informed.

After about an hour, a fire engine from the fire department reached the spot and started trying to control the fire, but by then everything was burnt to ashes. Shahnawaz told that the goods worth about five lakhs in his store were completely burnt to ashes.

. According to Shahnawaz, the shop probably caught fire due to short circuit.
