Jamshedpur Administration gears up for VP visit to XLRI

Jamshedpur, December 9: The district administration has made complete preparations for the arrival of vice president Jagdeep  Dhankar in Jamshedpur.

The vice president is coming to the city to attend the platinum jubilee celebrations of XLRI on completion of 75 years of its establishment.

Vice president Jagdeep Dhankhar will reach XLRI on Sunday at 2 pm. Before this he will reach Ranchi Airport by special plane. After this the vice president will leave for Jamshedpur. Along with the Vice President, Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan, Tata Steel Limited CEO cum MD TV Narendran, XLRI Director Father S George Fernandes will also be present in the XLRI program.

After the program he will leave for Sonari Airport. The district administration is busy preparing for this program. On Saturday, district administration officials including Deputy Commissioner, SSP held a meeting at XLRI ground and made a strategy regarding security arrangements in the program. Necessary instructions were given to the magistrates and police officers and soldiers on duty.

Full dress rehearsal was done in the airport

The district administration conducted a full dress rehearsal on Saturday for the arrival of the Vice President. During this, an exercise was conducted through mock drill from Sonari Airport to the venue of the program to see how they would be relieved after landing from the chopper.

Strong security arrangements have been made for this. Drop grades have been made at many places in the city. SSP Kishore Kaushal said that along with additional police force, a magistrate has also been appointed. Regarding the arrival of the Vice President, everyone has been instructed as to which officials should perform duty where.
