Jamshedpur: The South Zone-B meeting of the Central Durga Puja Committee chaired by Vice President Rajesh Rai and conducted by Ram Prasad Jaiswal, saw participation from 32 committees of Sundarnagar and Parsudih areas.

The poor condition of roads dominated the discussions, with members warning that unfinished construction work could disrupt idol processions. Sarjamda Committee demanded government medical support during puja, while Sarvapalli Committee objected to a liquor shop near its pandal. Sundarnagar Committee called for removal of illegal encroachments, and Vidyasagar Palli requested repair of damaged electricity poles. Sopodera Committee sought road repairs, while Kukradih Committee asked for slag supply.

Local committees also urged administrative officials to visit their areas, saying the situation made organizing puja difficult. A request was also made to improve lighting at Narwa immersion ghat.

General Secretary Ashutosh Singh assured that these issues would be presented to the District Magistrate and resolved before the festival. Officials from Parsudih and Sundarnagar police stations, traffic department, electricity board, and health department attended the meeting along with Zone Secretary Somu Bhowmik and other committee leaders.
