Jamshedpur, May 13: Jamshedpur’s Yoga Guru, Anshu Sarkar, a winner of several national and international awards and recognitions through 40 years of dedicated pursuit in this field of physio-mental uplift and wellbeing, was awarded the title, ‘Yogi Raj India – 2023’ during the 21st National Yogasana Cup championship organized at Chandannagar Rabindra Bhawan in West Bengal.
The competition was organized under the joint aegis of Eastern Zone Yoga Development Forum, Yoga-o-Kala Kendram, World Sports Federation, Fitness Federation and Universal Yoga.
Mayor of Chandannagar Municipal Corporation Ram Chakraborty and Councilor Shobhan Chakraborty were the chief guests at the programme. Mayor Shobhan Chakraborty presented Anshu Sarkar with the coveted Angavastram, trophy and Memento while crowning the Yoga Guru with the title, ‘Yogi Raj India- 2023’ at the packed venue, Chandannagar Rabindra Bhawan.
The guests gave kudos to Anshu for his perseverance and dedicated contribution in th field of Yoga and urged him to widen his field of awareness drive so that more people took to this exercise form as a part of their daily routine.
During the 21st National Yogasana Championship Cup competition, selection trials were held for the South Asia Cup and Dubai Cup meets. Yoga-o-Sanskritik Kala Kendram General Secretary Dr Jitshankar Nath, Organizing Secretary Sudipta Pandit, Founder Dr Loknath and WFF President Shubham congratulated Anshu Sarkar on this achievement and wished him success in all his endeavors.
