Jamshedpur�s Virat Singh to lead India �Red� in U-19 Challengers Trophy

Jamshedpur, Oct 25: Four Jharkhand players have been selected for U-19 challengers trophy. Virat Singh, Kausal Singh, Ishan Kishan and Vinayak Vikram have made it into the challengers trophy squad.

The Junior National Selection Committee named Delhi’s Rishabh Pant, Andhra’s Ricky Bhui and Jharkhand’s� India�’Green’, India ‘Blue’ and India ‘Red’ teams.

Vinayak Vikram is part of India Green, Kausal Singh India Blue, Virat Singh and Ishan Kishan are part of India Red Squad led by Virat itself.

Three teams, each comprising of 12 players have been selected and based on the performance; the team for U19 world cup would be selected.�The matches of the U-19 Challengers trophy will be played at Pune from�28th October to 31 October 2015.

BCCI Honorary secretary,�Anurag Thakur said, ” This tournament is being held for the first time under the aegis of the BCCI and it will provide a platform for players to perform and gain a place in the India Under-19 team for the ICC U-19 World Cup (Bangladesh 2016).”
