Jamshedpur’s Parvati Ghat to Launch Eco-Furnace

Jamshedpur: The Parvati Ghat Committee in Bistupur will launch several upgraded public facilities tomorrow, June 6, 2026, to promote environmental sustainability and modernize the historic complex.

The committee has installed a highly efficient, eco-friendly wood furnace to curb pollution and streamline cremation rituals. Donor Krishna Murari Gupta funded the ₹11 lakh project, which utilizes an integrated chimney system, reduces smoke, and requires only 100 kg of wood.

To address a sensitive community need, the committee developed “Dev Atma Udyan,” a dedicated garden for infant burials. The section features six demarcated zones that accommodate a total of 480 burials. Prominent citizens, including Ratanlal Agrawal and Khushaman Bhai Udani, contributed ₹5 lakh each toward this project.

Additionally, a ₹5 lakh donation from Nirmal Bhai Pandya funded the complete renovation of the “Pavitra Niketan” restroom and bathing area. Committee President Deepak Panchamia and Secretary Dipendra Kumar Bhatt expressed deep gratitude to all donors.
