Jamshedpur, Jan 3: Karandih-based LBSM College will see a makeover at a cost of Rs 2-crore granted under Rashtriya Uchhatar Siksha Abhiyan (RUSA).
The college authorities will be using this fund to meet the benchmarks of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in terms of infrastructure upgradation.
In a meeting of the college several infrastructure upgradation plans have been sent to the building construction department after getting the nod from the board of governors meeting held under the chairmanship of college principal Amar Singh.
The new construction proposal sent to the director of building construction department include cycle stand, toilets for men and women, buildings for departments, room for student’s union, helpdesk, luggage room, football ground, approach road, cement stage. In renovation proposal have been sent for repair of football, volleyball, badminton and basketball facilities, false ceiling of auditorium and purchasing equipment for auditorium at a cost of Rs 60 lakh.
The board of governor meeting also decided to include Sanatan Majhi and Potka MLA Sanjeev Sardar in the board of governors of the college.
