Jamshedpur, May 30: Veteran badminton administrator and Joint Secretary of Badminton Association of India K. Prabhakar Rao was honoured during the Annual General Body meeting held in Bengaluru for his outstanding contribution to the development and promotion of para badminton and para sports in India.
The honour was presented in the presence of Paralympic Committee of India Vice President S.P. Sangwan and other officials. Rao was recognised for his dedicated efforts in strengthening para sports across the country during his tenure.
Under his leadership and support, Indian para athletes won several medals at the Paralympics, World Championships and Asian Games, bringing pride to the nation.
The achievement has also brought honour to Jharkhand, as Rao is regarded as one of the state’s proud sporting personalities.
