Jamshedpur’s Debanjan Sinha secures 11th Position in KIIT International Chess Festival

Jamshedpur, Dec 5: Steel City Chess prodigy Debanjan Sinha clinched the 11th position in the KIIT International Chess Festival in the U19 category, held from December 2 to 5, 2024, at the BBA Library, KIIT Campus, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Sinha scored 7.5 points out of 10 rounds in a competition with 268 participants. He was awarded a cash prize of ₹20,000 for his performance. Narendra Kumar Tiwari, Secretary of East Singhbhum District Chess Association (ESDCA), congratulated Sinha, who has previously won several district-level chess tournaments.
