Jamshedpur’s Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary to host first-ever Bird Festival, eminent environmentalists to attend

Jamshedpur, Jan 29: Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is set to host its first-ever Bird Festival from February 2 to 4, bringing together eminent environmentalists, nature photographers and bird enthusiasts. The festival, organized by Dalma DFO Saba Alam Ansari under the Jharkhand Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department, aims to raise awareness about endangered bird species and conservation efforts.

“This festival will be a significant step towards bird conservation. Experts will discuss measures to protect endangered species,” said DFO Ansari.

Interested participants can register at Van Bhawan, located near Sai Mandir in the Circuit House area, or apply online. The registration fee is Rs 500 for children and Rs 1,500 for adults. The event is limited to 50 participants, with accommodation and meals included. The deadline for applications is January 31.

Nature lovers and photographers are eager to be part of this initiative. “Dalma’s rich bird diversity makes it the perfect venue for such an event,” said an avid birdwatcher. The forest department is working diligently to ensure the festival’s success.

The festival promises an enriching experience, combining expert insights, guided birdwatching and immersive nature experiences.
