Jamshedpur, Jan 29: Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary has added new attractions, including lifelike elephant statues and tree houses, enhancing its natural charm and drawing tourists in large numbers.

On Republic Day, visitors were in awe as they watched elephants being unloaded from a truck at the sanctuary. Confusion spread among the crowd, with many wondering if the elephants were real. The presence of a small elephant alongside two larger ones added to the excitement. However, as they were placed in the Butterfly Park, it became clear they were statues—so realistic that even after knowing the truth, tourists eagerly took photos with them.

“It was thrilling to see an elephant lifted in the air. The statues look so real!” said a delighted visitor. Families, especially children, were seen posing enthusiastically for pictures.

In another attraction, two newly built tree houses are offering visitors a serene retreat. Nestled among the branches, these tree houses allow tourists to experience the forest’s peaceful ambiance, complete with the chirping of birds and the rustling of leaves. “The tree house experience makes you feel truly connected to nature,” said a tourist who stayed overnight.

With ongoing beautification efforts at the sanctuary’s entry gate and an upgraded Butterfly Park, Dalma is set to become an even bigger attraction. The new additions are expected to boost tourism, offering a unique blend of wildlife, adventure and tranquillity.
