Grand rally from different bastis to converge at Agrico ground
Jamshedpur: Basti Vikas Samiti, Jamshedpur, will felicitate Chief Minister Raghubar Das on 1st April at Agrico ground for taking decision on granting 30 years lease bandobasti to various bastis of Jharkhand.
The outfit members took the decision at a meeting held at Sidhgora Town Hall here on Thursday. Presiding over the meeting, the outfit president Khemlal Choudhary said the CM had taken a historic decision on lease bandobasti of various bastis including the 86 bastis of Jamshedpur. He said the outfit had been struggling for ownership right of the basti residents since 1995. Jharkhand government has finally decided to grant lease to the basti residents for a period of 30 years, he said.
It was decided at the meeting to take out a grand rally from different bastis of the city to the Agrico ground. All basti residents have been appealed to take part in the rally in large numbers and make it a historic event.
Among those present at the meeting included district BJP president Dinesh Kumar, former BJP president Chandrashekhar Mishra, Pawan Agrawal, Mithilesh Singh Yadav and Kamlesh Singh.
