Jamshedpur’s Anya Das appointed deputy secretary in Odisha Health Department

Jamshedpur, July 23: Anya Das, a native of Jamshedpur and current Collector and District Magistrate of Subarnapur, has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary in the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Odisha, Bhubaneswar.

Anya completed her Class 12 from Rajendra Vidyalaya School, Jamshedpur, in 2013. She later graduated in English from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack. In 2017, she cleared the UPSC examination for Indian Railways in her first attempt and served as a railway officer for two years. In 2019, she secured an impressive All India Rank of 60 in the Civil Services Examination and opted for the Odisha cadre.

Her husband Ravi is a businessman. Her mother, Seema Das, is a homemaker, while her father, Badal Bhuyan, serves as the Vice-President of the Utkal Association in Sakchi. Her maternal uncles Ranjan, Dilip, and Praveen live in Jamshedpur, and two other uncles, Shashi Bhushan and Vidhu Bhushan, are professors. Her only brother resides abroad.
