Jamshedpur, Dec 11: The East Singhbhum District Chess Association (ESDCA) felicitated Master Adhiraj Mitra on Thursday for winning the gold medal in the Under-14 category at the Commonwealth Chess Championship. The ceremony was held at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, Tata Chess Centre.
ESDCA President and Tata Steel Chief Sports Officer Mukul Vinayak Choudhari honoured Adhiraj with a certificate of appreciation and a shawl. Captain Manish Kumar Sinha, Secretary Narendra Kumar Tiwari, and national cyclist Avtar Singh also congratulated Adhiraj and his parents for the remarkable achievement.
Several association members, including Jayant Kumar Bhuyan, Chandan Kumar Prasad, K.P. Sharma, A.K. Singh, and Shashank Shekhar, were present during the programme.
