Jamshedpur, Feb 22: Police here on Tuesday arrested one Vikas Singh in connection with the incident of firing in Golmuri Sunday last, sources said.
Sources said the accused was wanted in the shootout. Senior police officials questioned Vikas before forwarding him to judicial custody. During interrogation, the accused reportedly created ruckus and vandalized the glass panes of a window at the police station. A separate FIR was registered against him for causing damage to public property.
Cops said the accused and his associates had opened fire at the house of Rahul Chhabra, a Golmuri resident. The alleged victim claimed that he had a tiff with Vikas Singh and Ravi Jaisawal two days ago. The firing was the result of the quarrel, they said.
