Jamshedpur, April 14: A 24-year-old youth, identified as Vishwajeet Singh, resident of Mukhiadanga, died in a road accident near Dimna Chowk late Wednesday night, police said.
Sources said the mishap occurred when the youth’s motorcycle hit the road divider. Due to high speed, Vishwajeet lost control over the vehicle and was thrown apart on the road. He sustained critical injuries in the incident. He was taken to MGM Hospital where he was pronounced brought dead.
Sources said a Police Control Room patrol car was passing by the accident spot when the cops noticed Vishwajeet lying on the road.
The deceased was the owner of a spare parts shop on the National Highway 33. His parents were informed about the incident.
Police sent the body to MGM Hospital for autopsy.
