Jamshedpur: A 20-year-old youth, identified as Shivam Singh, was found murdered near Kamargora along the Dobo-Kanderbera road under the Kapali thana outpost in the Chandil thana area, located in the Seraikela-Kharsawan district, on Thursday morning.
The victim, a resident of Sonari Gwala Bustee in Sonari, was found with deep cut marks on his neck and other vital body parts. Police recovered a motorcycle (JH05AJ-5268), a mobile phone, a liquor bottle, and cigarettes from the crime scene.

The discovery of the body sent shockwaves through the locality, prompting a police team from Kapali thana outpost to reach the scene and initiate an investigation.
Officer-in-Charge of Kapali thana outpost, Sonu Kumar, confirmed that it was a case of murder, though the motive remains unclear. “The victim was the son of Jai Rajan Singh and had recently appeared in the matric examination. However, the reason behind his murder is yet to be established,” said Sonu Kumar.
The police have sent the body to Seraikela Sadar Hospital for postmortem, and efforts are underway to trace the perpetrators and establish the motive behind the crime.
The tragic incident has left the community in shock, with residents demanding swift justice and heightened security measures in the area.
