Jharkhand Assembly: Potka MLA Sanjib Sardar Urges Interim Arrangements for BA Students Amid College Delay

Jamshedpur: Raising concerns about higher education accessibility, Potka MLA Sanjib Sardar urged the state government to make alternative arrangements for BA students until the construction of the degree college in Potka is completed. Speaking during the zero hour of the Jharkhand Assembly, Sardar emphasized the need for immediate action to ensure that students do not face academic disruptions.

Sardar proposed that BA classes for this academic session be conducted in another government building so that students can commence their studies without further delay. He highlighted the difficulties faced by students from remote and economically weaker sections, who have to travel long distances to Jamshedpur for higher education. This, he stressed, imposes both financial and social burdens on them.

While the degree college project has been sanctioned and construction is underway, the completion process is taking longer than expected. Given this delay, Sardar insisted that an interim solution be implemented to prevent students from losing out on crucial academic opportunities.

The initiative proposed by Sardar is expected to bring immense relief to students and parents in the Potka region. If an alternative facility is arranged, students will no longer need to travel far for their education, ensuring they can pursue their BA courses within their locality.
