Jamshedpur, Oct 19: A tragic incident occurred in Mango on Saturday evening when a 20-year-old man, identified as Vishal Pramanik, ended his life following a domestic dispute.
The incident took place at Daighutu, Dhobi Line, Road No. 6 under Mango police station area.
Vishal, who worked as an auto-rickshaw driver, is survived by his wife and a one-and-a-half-year-old son.
According to sources, an argument broke out between Vishal and his wife on Saturday evening over a personal issue.
In a fit of anger, he locked himself inside the bathroom. When he did not come out for a long time, his family members grew suspicious and broke open the door—only to find him hanging.
He was immediately rushed to MGM Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
On getting information, Mango police reached the spot and initiated an investigation.
The body was sent for postmortem and later handed over to the family on Sunday.
Police are probing the matter, looking into domestic tensions and other possible factors behind the suicide.
The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the locality.
Neighbours described Vishal as a quiet and hardworking young man who supported his family by driving an auto-rickshaw. His sudden death has left the community in deep sorrow, with residents extending condolences to the family.
