Jamshedpur youth consumes pesticide, critical

Jamshedpur, April 26: A youth, identified as Karam Singh, resident of Zone No 2, Birsanagar, consumed pesticide on Tuesday. He was taken to MGM Hospital where his condition was reportedly critical, police said.

Sources said Karam’s mother Balwant Kaur had asked him to bring provisions from a local shop. When Karam reached home, he started vomiting. Soon it was found out that he had consumed pesticide. He was immediately rushed to the government hospital where his condition was serious.

Karam’s family members said the youth was suffering from mental ailment and is under treatment for the last five years. He is unable to speak after consuming pesticide, they said.

Cops are trying to find out if Karan attempted suicide or he just consumed the pesticide by mistake or due to any other reason.
