Jamshedpur writer pens Waqt Ke Paar, a saga of life and courage

Jamshedpur: The enduring legacy of late Kumari Chhaya, an acclaimed writer and teacher from Jamshedpur, is set to be celebrated through an upcoming book titled “Waqt Ke Paar”—a heartfelt tribute to her life, struggle, and unwavering courage. Slated for release on May 17, marking her first death anniversary, the book is more than just a literary compilation; it is a testimony to a woman who refused to surrender, even in the face of terminal illness.

Diagnosed with cancer, Kumari Chhaya continued to teach, write, and inspire, proclaiming “Zindagi Abhi Baaki Hai” until her final breath. “Waqt Ke Paar” captures the depth of her creative journey in her final days, portraying her resilience, emotional strength, and the healing power of words. The book sensitively brings out various layers of her personality—from her classroom teachings to her poetic musings, and from her personal pain to her passion for life.

“This book is not just a tribute,” say the editors, “but a bridge between her dreams and the hearts of countless readers still navigating their own struggles.” As readers turn the pages, they are drawn into an intimate dialogue—one that speaks of hope, strength, and the power of purpose even in the darkest times.

Her earlier works—Ek Pyali Chai, Meri Umeed Ki Or, Zindagi Abhi Baaki Hai, and Chaai Sa Humsafar—have already left a mark on lovers of life-affirming literature. But Waqt Ke Paar takes that journey one step further, offering a glimpse into the soul of a woman who turned her final battle into a canvas of courage and creativity.

Waqt Ke Paar is not just a book—it is a shared journey, a whisper from the other side of time, and an invitation to reflect on what it means to truly live.
