Jamshedpur, June 23 : The Teachers Association of Jamshedpur Women’s University on June 22 celebrated the completion of one year of its first vice-chancellor Anjila Gupta.
Teachers Association organized a program in honour of the vice chancellor.
Javed Ahmed, President of Teachers Association of Jamshedpur Women’s University (TAJWU) and finance officer of the University, in his presidential address recalled the achievements of the last one year. Registrar Rajendra Jaiswal and Proctor Sudhir Kumar Sahoo also shared their views.
All the teachers are determined to work together with the Vice Chancellor to overcome the obstacles in the path of progress so that the University can be taken to new heights.
In his address, the Vice-Chancellor appreciated the program organized by the Association, explained the challenges faced during the last one year and reiterated the determination to make the University an all-round institution of excellence with special emphasis on research.
She also announced various schemes to upgrade research work. She also announced the upcoming international conference to be held in the university.
She was particularly concerned about the shortage of teaching and non-teaching staff in the university and hoped that the government would look into the seriousness of the issue.
