Jamshedpur, Dec 7: A group of 50 students and faculties from Goa Engineering College visited Tata Steel Zoological Park on Wednesday as a part of their educational tour.
Having come to Jamshedpur Women’s University as a part of the student exchange programme titled ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’, the group members were enchanted by the zoo inmates, especially the white deer. The students said they had seen the white deer for the first time. Dr Sanjay Kumar Mahato explained the life cycle of a butterfly to the students. Earlier, the students visited National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML) and learnt about various scientific processes and innovations. They also visited the urban ore recycle centre.
Professor Dr Anjila Gupta, Vice Chancellor, Jamshedpur, said the visiting team was happy with their experience in Jamshedpur so far. The students and faculties also went to Tata Sports Academy and interacted with noted sports personalities, she said.
