Jamshedpur, Dec 7: An 11 year-old boy, identified as Mohammad Sufiyan, was seriously injured in a blast at Shiv Ghat under Jugsalai police station area on Wednesday, sources said.
The minor, a class 7 student of a local school, was taken to MGM Hospital where doctors advised his parents to take him to Tata Main Hospital for better treatment. He sustained injuries in his right leg.
Sources said Sufiyan bunked his school today and went to Shiv Ghat with his friends. The boy found a gear box lying in a heap of garbage at Shiv Ghat. He set the box afire out of curiosity. In a few minutes, the box burst with a loud noise and a part of the gear box hit his right leg, causing severe injury, said Zeeshan, elder brother of Sufiyan.
