Seraikela: Nidhi Dwivedi, a 2013-batch IPS officer, assumed charge as the District Superintendent of Police (SP) of Seraikela on Sunday. Immediately after taking office, she emphasized that the district police would maintain special vigilance and ensure swift action in cases involving women and children.
The new SP stated that the department will formulate a specialized strategy to crack down on criminals, with continuous efforts directed toward making the district crime-free.
Warm Welcome by District Police
The district police force organized a grand welcome for the newly appointed SP. Under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Seraikela, Samir Kumar Sawaiyan, police officials greeted her upon arrival. Other key officials present included SDPO Chandil Arvind Bindra, various DSPs, and Officers-in-Charge (OICs) from all police stations across the district.
Focus on Law, Order, and Public Dialogue
During a brief introductory meeting with her officers, SP Nidhi Dwivedi stressed the need to further strengthen law and order. She noted that the police’s primary responsibility lies in fostering a sense of security among the general public, which she plans to achieve by strengthening the “police-public dialogue.”
She directed all police officers to discharge their duties with complete honesty, integrity, and proactiveness to maintain peace and the rule of law throughout the district.
