Jamshedpur: Tanushree Patra, a third-year History Honours student at Jamshedpur Women’s University, has been selected for the prestigious All India Thal Sainik Camp (AITSC) 2025 held at the DG NCC, Delhi Cantonment, New Delhi, in September 2025. Tanushree, daughter of Gopinath Patra from Kandra, Seraikela-Kharsawan district, represented the Bihar and Jharkhand Directorate (B&J DTE) in the Judging Distance (JDFS) event.
She was appointed Second In-Charge (2I/C) of the B&J DTE (SW Contingent) and also served as the Line Area Briefer. This year, 40 cadets from the Bihar and Jharkhand Directorate were selected for various events at the national camp.
CTO Preeti of the NCC Unit at Jamshedpur Women’s University praised her achievement, saying, “Tanushree’s selection for the All India Thal Sainik Camp is a matter of pride not only for our university but for the entire state of Jharkhand. Her dedication, discipline, and leadership have earned her national recognition and inspire other cadets.”
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anjila Gupta extended her best wishes, adding, “The consistent achievements of our NCC cadets show that Jamshedpur Women’s University promotes discipline and excellence. Tanushree’s success brings pride to both the university and the state.”
This selection highlights the growing prominence of Jharkhand’s youth in national-level NCC activities.
