MYM Steel City Surbhi Branch organised Rangilo Sawan Aayo Re Sawan Utsav with great pomp
Jamshedpur, August 3: The Marwari Yuva Manch Steel City Surbhi Branch organized the vibrant “Rangilo Sawan Aayo Re” (Sawan Utsav) at Shri Agrasen Bhawan in Sakchi on Saturday evening, celebrating the monsoon festival with great pomp and fervor. The event aimed to preserve and promote Rajasthani culture, featuring women of the Marwari community dressed in colorful Rajasthani attire, dancing to traditional Rajasthani songs.
The festival included various competitions such as folk dance, Marwari song, Sawan Queen, and Royal Jodi, all themed around Rajasthani culture. The winners of these competitions were awarded for their performances. The women also performed group dances, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The program was inaugurated by lighting the ceremonial lamp, led by Surbhi branch president Kavita Agarwal. The celebration began with a Ganesh Vandana dance, setting a spiritual tone for the evening.
Branch President Kavita Agarwal, Secretary Pooja Agarwal, Treasurer Payal Agarwal, and coordinators Muskan Agarwal and Rashmi Agarwal emphasized that the event was organized to preserve and promote Rajasthani culture, describing Sawan Utsav as a significant part of their cultural heritage. They highlighted that preparations for the festival had been underway for several days, and the event saw enthusiastic participation from Marwari women across the city.
The program concluded with everyone enjoying a variety of delicious Rajasthani cuisine, rounding off a day of cultural celebration and community bonding.
